So it is not at all surprising that a student gets A + grade. But the case of Roxat Khatun is different. He surprised everyone.
Roxat, a resident of Murshidabad in West Bengal, got A + grade in all subjects. He even got A + in Malayalam subject. No student in the history of NGO Quarters Government HSS school in Kozhikode has got A + before.
Roxat Khatun himself said, ‘I am happy to get A + grade in all subjects. I did not expect so much ‘.
Roxat’s family moved to Kerala from West Bengal 12 years ago. Now they live in CH Housing Colony. Roxat’s father is a laborer by profession. His mother worked in various homes to help the family financially.
Khatun said that he used to study in class one in a school in West Bengal. Then when they moved there with their family, he started studying anew. He says it was a little difficult for him to read Malayalam at first, but he became fluent in speaking Malayalam with his friends.
According to him, the teachers helped him to recognize the letters with great difficulty as a child. “Hindi is my favorite subject,” said Roxat.
His sister Nazia Khatun is also good at studies. Two years ago, he passed 10th from this school. Nazia received A + grades in a total of nine subjects. Both sisters speak Malayalam fluently. However, their parents still do not speak Malayalam properly.
